Sherri Hendrickson, owner and founder of Valkyrie Consulting, is an experienced consultant with over 10 years in the new media, entertainment, and technology industries. She provides clients with deep knowledge of the digital networked ecosystem as well as the business development contacts, strategy, and communications required by this complex, ever-changing industry.

History:

Prior to founding Valkyrie Consulting, Ms. Hendrickson was a Strategy Consultant for TSUTAYA- the 2nd largest retailer of entertainment content worldwide. There she worked to bring the first DVD rental kiosks as well as other new digital entertainment technologies to the Japanese market. As Technical Director at National Public Radio , she led the daily technical direction of national programing reaching over 29M Americans per week as well as developed new media programming for NPR’s industry leading podcast distribution initiatives. In 2002, Ms. Hendrickson helped lead the audio engineering team responsible for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games for client Panasonic.

In 1999, Ms. Hendrickson founded Valkyrie Sound, a leading audio engineering services company. As a recording engineer, Ms. Hendrickson teamed with Grammy winning artists such as Yo-Yo Ma and Sir James Galway as well as other leading classical artists such Hillary Hahn and the Los Angeles Philharmonic to creatively envision their recordings. Ms. Hendrickson has degrees in audio engineering, music business, and a MBA focused on new media strategy. She is a member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (Grammys) and recipient of 6 Axiem Awards for Excellence in Electronic Media.
